William B. "Willie" Jeffers, 59, of Springfield, formerly of London, went home to the Lord Saturday, July 27, 2013, 12:26 p.m. in his residence.
Willie was born Feb. 11, 1954 in Urbana, Ohio, a son of Guy and Daisy Porter Jeffers.
He loved to fish, hunt, and cook.
He had coached LABC baseball and was very avid about watching his grandchildren playing sports.
He is survived by his four children, Christina Jeffers (Jame Huggins) of Washington Court House, William (Michelle) Jeffers of London, Angela (Jeramie) Frabott of Springfield, Lisa Parker of Killeen, Texas; grandchildren, Joseph Jeffers, Corey (Amber) Jeffers, Matthew Jeffers, Nathan Jeffers, Devin Newell, Dylan Newell, Brittani Parker, Ashtyn Parker; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Price, Elissa Price, Addasyn Jeffers; sisters and brothers, Guy (Day) Jeffers, Corrie (Jeffers) Nance, Betty (Bill) Whalen, Helena (Ronnie) Skaggs, Janice (Larry) Oty, Joan (Larry) Gullett, Carol (Steve) Oty; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Lafe Ater and Greely Neal.
Willie was preceded in death by his fiancee, Frieda Brown; parents; granddaughter, Brittany Jeffers; niece and nephew, Nikki (Gullett) White and Tim Oty; brother-in-law, Earl Nance.
The family invites friends to call at the RADER-LYNCH & DODDS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 124 E. High St., London, from noon until the start of the funeral celebration at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013. Interment will follow in the Somerford Township Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
