DAVID WESLEY EVANS
LONDON - David Wesley Evans, born June 24, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio. He passed from this life on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at his home.
David was the son of Mary Harper Evans and William Reese Evans Sr., who preceded him in death, along with infant children, Katherine L. and Kevin E. Evans; his mother-in-law and his father-in-law, Mary Jane Lanigan and Edward R. Lanigan; and his sister-in-law, Vivian Fout Evans.
David is survived by his wife, Patricia Lanning Evans; daughter, Alexis (Lincoln) Comer; son, Josiah (Monique) Evans; grandchildren, Liam, Mia, and Carter Comer, Julia and Olivia Attanasio; sisters, Virginia (Francis) Murray, Beverly Fink; brother, William R. Evans Jr.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
David served in the United Sates Navy for 3 years, 7 months, and 27 days, assigned to the USS Wasp.
David retired from the Ohio EPA.
He was raised as a member of the First Presbyterian Church of London. He chose to serve God through good works, his love of nature, and his love of all God's creatures.
A mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Father Mark Ghiloni at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, London, at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014. His family requests that all attending to join them in the parish center for lunch and fellowship after Mass.
