LONDON - Janice Aileen Roby, 81, London, dies Saturday, April 5, 2014, 3:13 p.m. at the Milcrest Nursing Center, Marysville.
Janice was born Oct. 16, 1932 in Fayette County, Ohio, the daughter of Cletice E. and Alice (Kelly) Howsmon.
She graduated from Monroe High School in 1950, where she served as her class president her senior year. She had been employed at the Madison County Hospital as a Nurse Tech, and at the Red Brick Tavern. She was a past member of the Devonshire Club.
Janice is survived by daughters, Jo Ann (David) Dhume of London, Jane Adelsberger of Marysville; son, Philip (Bridget) Adelsberger of London; brother, Ronald (Janice) Howsmon of Hilliard; grandchildren, Bryan Dhume and Erin Dhume, Jason (Amanda) Adelsberger, Megan (Matthew) Williams, Katie (Brandon) Runyon, Libby and Ali Adelsberger and Karie (Rob) Randall; great-grandchildren, Annabelle Hartnett, Sophia and Jackson Runyon, Kaitlynn Hollar, Quentin Williams, Elliott, Emilia and Bandon Randall, Ana Adelsberger; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul Adelsberger; sisters, Mary Mouser, Betty Meinhardt, Barbara Int-Hout; brother, Keith Howsmon; great-granddaughter, Abbigale Hollar; niece, Beth Holland.
For the past year and a half, the Milcrest Nursing Center in Marysville, provided Janice an outstanding quality of life, for which her family is extremely grateful!
The family invites friends to call at the RADER-LYNCH & DODDS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 124 E. High St., London, from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, with a wake service to held at 6:45 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the Saint Patrick Church, 61 S. Union St., London, with Father Mark Ghiloni officiating. Interment will follow at the Somerford Township Cemetery, London. Mrs. Roby will lie in state at the parish center, next to the church, for one hour prior to the start of the mass on Thursday.
