KENNETH "BUCK" SKIDMORE
LONDON - Kenneth "Buck" Skidmore, 78, of London, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Mount Carmel West.
He was born in Garrison, Kentucky on April 4, 1936, a son of Buster Kenneth and Martha (Kimbler) Skidmore.
Buck was a member of the F.O.E. Aerie No. 950, American Legion Post No. 105, the Moose on Main Lodge No. 2696, the Carpenters Union, was a 34 year employee of Westinghouse and was retired from Mahan Construction.
He is survived by sons, Ray (Vicki) Skidmore, Kenny (Kay) Skidmore, both of London; 3 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Bloomfield, Cora May and Wilma Collier, all of Kentucky; brothers, Kenneth, Richard, Larry and Nelson Skidmore, all of Kentucky, Jerry Browning of Bucyrus; and brother-in-law, John Wiget of Columbus.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley (Wiget) Skidmore; brothers, Don, Mike, Homer, David and Tommy; sisters, Freda Haulk, Gladys Wright; and sister-in-law, Peggy Cain.
The family invites friends to call at the RADER-LYNCH & DODDS FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 124 E. High St., London, from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, April 25, and at the Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg, Ky. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014, with burial following in Skidmore Cemetery.
