MALCOLM C. "MAC" CARRUTHERS
WEST JEFFERSON - Malcolm C. "Mac" Carruthers, 71, of West Jefferson, passed away, Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014 in his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mac always had a smile upon his face, a man no one could be compared with. Someone we will miss dearly, but one day will see again. A memory to heart everlasting.
He was born May 29, 1943 in Newburg, N.Y., the son of the late Frank L. and Dorothy (Williams) Carruthers.
Mac was a loving Husband, Father and Pepal. He was a member of the Trinity Church of London. Mac was employed by Ohio Electric Motor. He had a love and passion for golf, travel, music and the Brooklyn Dodgers.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Holcomb) Carruthers, with whom he celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary with on Aug. 2; his sons, Matt (Jennifer) Carruthers and Mark (Emily) Carruthers, both of West Jefferson, 3 grandchildren, Madelyn, Eric and Mayson Carruthers; brother, Jay Carruthers of West Jefferson; numerous nieces and nephews including special nieces, Mandy and Holly; friends, Jimmy (Deb) Tindle, Bill (Paula) Palomountain and the Maust family; as well as beloved pets, Dexter and Murphy.
Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014 in the funeral home with Mark Carruthers officiating. Burial will follow in Hampton Cemetery, West Jefferson, Ohio.
