ROBERT J. HAHN
WEST JEFFERSON - Robert J. Hahn (Jim, Bodie), 70, of West Jefferson, passed away Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 in his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 30, 1944 in Pike County, the son of the late Starling and Mildred Hahn.
Jim retired from General Motors Oct. 1, 1999 after 31 1/2 years of service.
He attended Harvest Chapel Church.
Jim was preceded in death by brothers, Walter and Charles; a sister, Luretta; and father-in-law, David Ogilvie.
He married Susan Ogilvie Hahn 47 years ago on June 23, 1967.
Survivors include his wife, Susan; sons, Jamie and Mike (Kim) Hahn; grandchildren, Caleb, Madison, Joshua and Zachary Hahn; brothers, Don (Terri), Ron (Linda) and Oliver Hahn; sister, Judy Jones; mother-in-law, Jean Ogilvie; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Mary Whittaker; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Dick Rice.
Jim enjoyed being around his friends and was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to hunt, fish, and be down at the cabin with his hunting buddies.
Family and friends called from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson, where Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, with Rev. Paul Burgett officiating. Burial will follow in Hampton Cemetery, West Jefferson.
