LAURA MAXINE WILLIAMS
WEST JEFFERSON - Laura Maxine Williams, 70, of West Jefferson, passed away Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014 in Mount Carmel West Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born July 23, 1944 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Stanley and Mable Tyree.
Maxine was a member of the Grove City Church of the Nazarene, she was a devoted and loving wife. Caring, compassionate with unconditional love to her girls and grandchildren. She demonstrated such strength and tremendous courage throughout her battle with cancer. She cherished her special friendships - you know who you are. The gates of Heaven have opened up and welcomed the newest and most beautiful angel - Welcome Home My Faithful Servant.
She is survived by her husband, Charles "Charlie" Williams whom she married Sept. 1, 1962; two daughters, Rhonda Miller and Laurie (John) Grega; three grandchildren, Danielle Miller, J.T. and Josh Grega; a sister, Helen (Ray) Fuller; a brother, Mike (Debbie) Tyree; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Charlie Tyree.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson, where Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, with Pastor John Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, West Jefferson.
