Harold M. Jester, 92, of West Jefferson, went home to be with his Lord Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Nov. 26, 1919, in West Jefferson.
Harold retired from Jaeger Machine Co. of Columbus after 33 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.
A member of the West Jefferson First Baptist Church, American Legion Post No. 201 and Senior Citizens-Jeffersonians.
He is survived by his wife, Martha whom he married Jan. 23, 1946; daughter, Deirdre (Larry) Bogner of Canton; three sons, John (Brenda) Jester, Roger (Margie) Jester, all of West Jefferson, Michael (Becky) Jester of Stuart, Florida; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; new and on the way; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Betty Jester and Jean Jester; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Jester and Myrtle Junk; three brothers, Willard, Walter, and Frank; seven sisters, Mary, Lilly, Alberta, Gladys, Dorothy, Louise, and Marjorie.
Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, in the First Baptist Church of West Jefferson. Rev. Glade May will be officiating. Burial and Military Graveside Service will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
