C. Stephen "Steve" Blair, 68, of London, passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, 2:39 p.m. at the OSU Medical Center.
Steve was born Feb. 14, 1944, in Ashland, Ohio, a son of Charles D. and Faith (Stambaugh) Blair.
He was an avid collector of insulators. Along with his wife Lois, he hosted the Mid Ohio Insulator show for 42 years.
He was a member of the Montadale Sheep Association and was a longtime 4-H advisor in Madison County.
He was retired from Ameritech after 30 years.
He participated in a mission trip to Bolivia, South America.
Steve is survived by his wife, Lois (Farley) Blair; sons, Mike Blair of Richardson, Texas, Scott Blair of Mt. Sterling, Christopher Blair of London; sisters, Nancy (Richard) Kurtz of Granville, Georgia (Kerry) Fout of London; brother, Tim (Debbie) Blair of North Carolina; nieces and nephews and many friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Steve's life will be held at the RADER-LYNCH & DODDS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 124 E. High St., London, at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012. Reverend Stanley Strode will be officiating. A dinner for family and friends will follow at the Newport United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made in Steve's memory to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
