Leonard M. Dembski, 92, of West Jefferson, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, in Mount Carmel West Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born Nov. 11, 1920 in Dayton, the son of the late Alexander and Agnes Dembski.
Leonard was a member of Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church of West Jefferson.
A World World II Veteran (U.S. Army Air Corps).
A 1954 graduate of Ohio State University College of Pharmacy.
He worked for Gray Drugs of Columbus and retired from Mellotts Drug Store of West Jefferson.
Survivors include sons, Michael S. Dembski of Newark, Patrick L. (Sandra) Dembski of Columbus, Mark A. (Lynn) Dembski of Pickerington, David M. Dembski of Columbus, Richard D. Dembski of Grove City; daughter, Mary E. Dembski of Columbus; grandchildren, Marie, Steven, Scott, Andrea, Joe, Nick, Janet, Kevin, Lynne, Rob, Bob, Sharla, Bethany, Daniel, Jason, Brian, Megan and Bethany; six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pauline E. O'Brien Dembski; sons, Leonard P. and Charles T. Dembski; a sister, Delores Vescio.
Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson, with Vigil Wake Service at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, in Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 9350 High Free Pike, West Jefferson. Rev. Fr. Robert Kitsmiller as Celebrant. Burial and Graveside Military Service will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne. Military Honors by the West Jefferson VFW and American Legion.
