Ronald L. "Ron" Haynes, 70, of West Jefferson, passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Ron was born April 24, 1942, in Columbus, the son of the late Walter and Velma Haynes.
He retired from Mac Tool Co. and was an avid collector of large scale trains.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Frances; daughter, Lori Haynes of West Jefferson; son, Ronald Haynes Jr. of Summerville, South Carolina; granddaughter, Tiffany Haynes and fiancée Adam Lemaster of Springfield; grandsons, Jeffery and Tyler Haynes of Summerville, South Carolina; great-granddaughter, Mallory Sue Lemaster; sisters, Barbara Cathey of Columbus and Evelyn Harper of Hilliard; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rhonda Sue Cain; sisters, Ida Mae Delong, Martha Cox, Shirley White and Helen Smith; brothers, Raymond, Bill, Bob, and Donald Haynes.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, in the RADER-MCDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson, where Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013. Burial will follow in Hampton Cemetery.
