Jeffrey L. Conley, 55, of London, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, 9:50 a.m. in his residence.
Jeff was born June 13, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Garner B. and Lena (Howard) Conley.
He had been a radio electronics officer at various large international shipping companies including Exxon, Coastal, and LNG.
He graduated from Bayshore High School in Bradenton Florida in 1975.
He had several hobbies; he was a ham radio operator, he restored and repaired antique radios, and constructed full scale wooden model ships.
Jeff was a member of MENSA and an F&AM in Bradenton. He was a member of Saint Patrick Church, London. Most importantly, he loved and adored his nieces and nephews with their feelings toward Jeff being mutual.
He is survived by his mother, Lena Conley of Bradenton; wife, Julie (Thrall) Conley; brothers and sisters, Bob Conley of Cuba, New York, Mike (Carla) Conley of Bradenton, Rick (Susan) Conley of Columbus, Patti (Jim) McGavick and Rose (Emmett) Butler, all of Bradenton; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1981.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at the Saint Patrick Parish Center, 61 S. Main St., London. A memorial service will follow in the Saint Patrick Church. Father Mark Ghiloni will be officiating. A memorial service will be held in Bradenton at a later date.
Jeff's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the RADER-LYNCH & DODDS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 124 E. High St., London.
