Deane E. Corn, 79, of Big Plain, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, in Mount Carmel West Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 25, 1934, in Madison County, Ohio, the son of the late David and Mabel (Jackson) Corn.
Deane was a self-employed welder for over 30 years in the Madison County area.
Deane enjoyed going to flea markets, watching old reruns of Two and a Half Men and being with his friends.
He was preceded in death by parents; sister, Sarabelle Haag; half brothers, Elsworth Elliott and Jim Elliott.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Julia (Reichelderfer) Corn; children, David Deane, Earl Keith, Stephen Dwayne, and Cindy Lou and their families; nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013, at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. Main St., Mt. Sterling. Rev. Dortha Ross will be officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Alton, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at the funeral home.
