Sarah Miller, 79, of London, went home to be with her heavenly Father at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born Jan. 4, 1934, in Fredericksburg, Ohio.
Married Eugene D. Miller on April 28, 1956 at Sharon Mennonite Church, Plain City.
She attended church at Darby Grace Brethren Church, Plain City.
Over the years Sarah was employed by several of the local restaurants around Plain City and Yutzy's Farm Market. Well known for running and co-managing her own restaurant, Sarah's Corner Restaurant. She and her son had the restaurant for 13 years from 1983 to 1996.
Sarah loved to crochet and made baby blankets for her grandchildren and family friends. She made afghans for friends and donated several of her afghans to Warm Up America and Loving Care Hospice.
Preceded in death by parents, John N. and Mary Ann (Slabaugh) Schlabach; stepmother, Mary (Miller) Schlabach; loving husband of 31 years, Eugene D. Miller in 1988; sister-in-laws, Betty Cosgray and Ruth Gingerich.
Survived by loving children, Dale E. Miller of London, Robert L. Miller of London, Harlan J. (Mary Ann) Miller of Cable, Carman K. (Scott) Souders of Marysville; grandchildren, Megan D. Miller, Jacob M. Miller, Christopher J. Souders, Melany A. Souders, Kelsey M. Souders, Margaret R. "Maggie" Souders; brothers, Levi (Ada) Schlabach of Sun City, Arizona, Jonas "Dick" (Marjorie) Schlabach of Plain City; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard Miller of Plain City, Harry Miller of Marysville, Arlene (Jesse) Miller of Wausseon, Ella (Jerry) Wolfe of Clarksville, Tennessee, Shirley Spillman of Plain City, David Gingerich of Plain City; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 5, at the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 E. Main St. (state Route 161), Plain City. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Northwest Chapel, 6700 Rings Road, Dublin, Ohio 43017. Burial will be at Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City.
The family would like to thank all those who brought food, sent cards and visited Sarah at the house the last couple of months.
