Beverly was the daughter of Clifford and Irene Smalley of Bowdoinham, born on Feb. 18, 1939. She married her soulmate Robert A. Hewett, and they had just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on June 5, 2011.
They had driven a tractor-trailer over the road for six years together, and enjoyed riding their motorcycle and snowmobiles in their spare time. Beverly was a devoted wife and mother, and will live on through her children, Levi, Terry Lee, Russell, James and Beth. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She loved to plant beautiful flowers in her garden, and spend hours reading her favorite books. Beverly had been a cashier at the Augusta Kmart for years, and more recently she was a cook at the grade schools in Winthrop and Monmouth.
She was an active member of the South Monmouth Baptist Church, where her memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 16 at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Bev would like donations made to the church, which is located at 163 South Monmouth Road, Monmouth, ME 04259.

My grandmother was the strongest, level-headed, devoted lady in our family. She poured her soul into everything she attempted and achieved. She and I were alike in many ways, and thanks to her influence I will carry on her spunky, spontaneous, and caring nature. Nana will be missed by all and will remain in our hearts.
