Bruce was a graduate of East Bridgewater High School, the class of 1954. He married his high school sweetheart Audrey L. Hirtle in 1955. They raised their children in East Bridgewater and were married for more than 55 years.
Bruce worked for HP Hood & Son for many years and later for the East Bridgewater Housing Authority. He was also a skilled carpenter who built many homes and did historic renovations. He loved to garden and grow vegetables to give away. He was the host, to his friends, Robert and "the Chief" on Sunday mornings in his barn, where they discussed local issues. Bruce was past Master and current member of the Satucket Masonic Lodge.
Bruce was the loving husband of Audrey L Robertson of East Bridgewater, devoted father of Victoria R. Winsor and her husband Brant of Clinton, Maine, and Glenda M. Robertson of Chelsea, Maine. He was the grandfather of Benjamin Winsor and his fiancé Kathryn Hill of Colorado and Daniel Winsor of Chelsea, Maine, and the brother of the late W. Graeme Robertson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral home service will be held at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater on Thursday, June 2, at noon with a visitation period held prior from 11 a.m. to noon. Burial will be at the Milton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine 87 Elm Street, Suite 203 Camden, Maine 04843
