She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Irving Ballard.
Surviving is a daughter, Charlee B. Curtis, and her husband, Sherman, of Gardiner; a son, Broderick Ballard, and his wife, Victoria, of Leeds; a grandson, Richard Caverly, and his wife, Beverly Donovan, of Benton; granddaughters Sara Thompson and her husband, John, and their son, Brandon, of Windsor, Anita Burdzel and her husband, Norman, and their children Christian Caverly, Andrew, Andy and Anna, all of Bar Harbor, Bridey Ballard and her fiance, Thomas Kennedy, of Westbrook, Jana Mates and her husband, Brad, and their son, Tyler, of Mount Juliet, Tenn., Jill Pichette and her husband, David, and their daughters, Emma and Alexia, all of Mount Juliet, Tenn., and Trisha Raymond of Boston.
There will be no public visiting hours and no public service. Burial will be with her husband in Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Augusta. Memorial donations are requested to Hubbard Free Library, 115 Second St., Hallowell, ME 04347-1330. Condolences may be expressed via the funeral home website www.plummerfh.com. Arrangements are under the care of Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta.

Rick and Family sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I know she will be missed. I have so many memories! I also believe that your mother and father are somewhere riding around on a golf cart complaining about the last shot and really enjoying themselves.
