Uncle Kenny I missed your service yesterday and I know you would understand why. Alex had his one and only field trip scheduled for yesterday and I was signed up to chaperone. I wanted so much to be there for Aunt Martha, Mom and Aunt Linda as well as the rest of the family. However, you know how much loss we have all suffered thus far and I simply could not disappoint Alex -- for a little guy he's had more than his share of experiences with death and losing loved ones. I felt it best to keep our plans in tact and I will be sure to visit you each time I come by to visit Donnie!!! I love you and miss you....and Dad....and my loving husband Donnie. I hope the three of you are together and you have found Nana and Grandpa too! I know there are plenty of other wonderful friends and family there but you and those I mention are the most important to me now and forever!

I've known Kenny since we were small children growing up in/around the Lincoln Avenue area of Gardiner. The park was our playground. I recall him walking down to Quimby Field in his baseball uniform ready to take on the world. I'm going to miss seeing him around town and at the IGA. Most definitely I will miss his harassment and ability to make me laugh. He was a wonderful friend who cared about everyone even though he was so ill himself. I'm giving thanks he no longer has to suffer.
