Allen enjoyed hunting; listening to music, especially the blues; NFL football; classic cars, and always keeping his home and yard neat and tidy. He was a long-time member of the Winslow Lions Club and Literacy Volunteers Association. His faith was his life, and his brothers and sisters in the Lord enriched it tremendously.
He was predeceased by his parents, and infant son, Henry Soucy. He is survived by his loving wife, Lillie, of Waterville; a brother, Marland Soucy, of St. Albans; and two special children, a son, Christopher Soucy, and his fianceŽ, Allyson Libby, of Madison, and a daughter, Jennifer Soucy Pearson, and her husband, Brent Pearson; his three grandchildren, whom he adored, Charlotte, Shea and Nellie Pearson, of Waitsfield, Vt.; a special "sister," Carol, and husband Mike Ouellette of Pittsfield; and many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and wonderful friends.
A graveside service will be held at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 78 Grove St., Waterville, on Friday June 3, 2011, at 1 p.m.

My sincere condolences to Lillie and your family. I had the pleasure of working with Allen at some job sites and he was super to work with. I enjoyed listening to his stories and jokes. He always had a smile on his face and an upbeat personality. Guys like him are few and far between. He’ll be missed.

I will never forget allens smilling face and kind words. My father Dean worked with Allen at Zimba and when he and Lillie would come into my workplace Allen always had a smile on his face and would always stop to say hi and tell me how wonderful my dad is, " Dean he would say, what a good man he taught me everything I know about plastering". And I am so glad I had the pleasure of meeting his wife Lillie what a wonderful woman. Lillie my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very hard time in your life.

Our sincerest condolences during this difficult time. I too can remember hanging out with the Soucy clan. Even though I was only a preteen and then a young teenager, Allen always spoke to me like a friend, not like he was talking to a kid. Maybe that's because he never lost touch with the kid inside himself. I still remember once when he took me driving to practice parallel parking for my driving test. He never lost patience and was always encouraging. Allen was the kind of person who helped improve your mood.

Jen and Chris, I was just on the phone with Mom who had spoken to Mike earlier in the day, who told her (your mother had called him). I am stunned! I am so sorry for both of you, and please know that I feel this very acutely. My own dad passed away in late March, and Mr. Gagne across the street from us passed away a little over a month later. Please know my thoughts are with you all. I have lots of fond memories hanging out with your family when you lived out back, babysitting you two and enjoying backyard celebrations with both of our families.

My condolences are with the Soucy family. Allen was also a huge part of my teenage years spending many of hours with Chris and Jen at their home. There was always a smile on Allen's face and I can still hear his laugh. May you find peace knowing he is at rest now and an angel up above.

Allen was such an upbeat person with a ready smile. He always had a wonderfully positive outlook, and willingly shared that enthusiasm with everyone he came in contact with. His incredible honesty and cheerfulness will be sorely missed. The world could use more people like Allen.
I met Allen through Literacy Volunteers and we became fast friends. His personality made that very easy. Luckily, he had several years with Lillie, someone who shared his love, values, and spirituality.
He is at peace now, and no doubt smiling still...

Allen was such a great person and brother-in-law. There was never a time that I didn't see Allen full of energy, happiness and a big smile on his face. Allen made my sister Lillie so happy and I was so glad that she met someone that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. Allen reassured me that he would take care of Lillie, but I already knew that just by seeing them together. Unfortunately, none of us know what tomorrow will bring. I know it will take time for Lillie to adjust to life without Allen and things will never quite be the same. I also know Allen will be the last brother-in-law that I will have, because Allen was Lillie's one and only. I was lucky to have known Allen for the seven years that I did. I'll end this the way Allen and I would end a conversation on the phone, "I love ya..."

To The Soucy Family,
My condolences to All for the loss of Allen. After my tour of duty in the Army, I found temporary employment at The Ladd Paper Company where Allen worked. Allen was better known as "The Candy Man" of his department. He put up all the candy and cigarette orders for Ladd Paper. Allen was a happy go lucky guy all of us at Ladd Paper enjoyed. May his spirit live long in his family. God Bless.
Sincerely,
