Mrs. Beal, a native of Harrington, Del., came to Maine after she met and married her Naval aviator husband following World War II. An energetic and independent woman, Mrs. Beal exemplified devotion to family, integrity, dignity and character. She often expressed her opinion and her expectation that things would be fair and "done right." Mrs. Beal possessed a very dry wit and sense of humor. She was a wonderful wife and mother who ran a very organized home. A dedicated and creative homemaker, she was a wonderful cook and talented seamstress and knitter who did beautiful handwork.
She is survived by her only child, daughter Pamela of South Portland. She was predeceased by her much beloved husband of 52 years, Stetson.
At Mrs. Beal's request, there will be no memorial services. A committal service will be held at a later date. For a memory book and to leave condolences please visit www.bowersfuneral.com.
