Dale Robbins Obituary

FARMINGTON -- Dale T. Robbins, 66, of Wilton, died Sunday afternoon April 17, 2011, "after the races," with his loving family at his side.

He was born June 6, 1944, in Turner, a son of Merrill T. and Virginia M. (Jordan) Robbins. He received his education in Livermore Falls schools and was employed for many years as a track engineer and foreman for Maine Central Railroad.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie (Davis) Robbins, of Wilton; three sons, Timmy Robbins and his wife, Deborah, of Livermore Falls, Jon Robbins and his wife, Penny, of Livermore, and Gerald "Butch" Dubay of Peoria, Ariz.; four daughters, Donna Boivin of Jay,; Tammy Ranger of Dixfield, Kimberly Robbins and her fiancŽ, Patrick Swan, of Virginia, and Athena Sanders and her husband, Jake, of North Jay; two brothers, Timothy Robbins and his companion, Judy, of Benton, and David Robbins and his wife, Ruth Ann, of Turner; two sisters, Nancy Clark and her husband, Warren, of Turner, and Diana Dunham and her companion, Michael, of Livermore; 10 grandchildren: Justin LeBlanc, Amanda Robbins, Ashlie Robbins, Danielle Ranger, Jason Robbins, Kyle Dubay, Taylor Dubay, Gavin Sanders, Bretteney Sanders and Ian Sanders; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his folks; a daughter, Karen Keene, twin of Kimberly; and a niece, Leeann Bryant.

Memorial visitation will be held Wednesday evening, April 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wiles Remembrance Center, 136 High St., Wilton. Memorial services will follow the next morning, Thursday, April 28, at 11 a.m. from the Center with the Rev. Eva Thompson officiating. Following services, all are welcome to attend a family reception at the Lane Dube AMVETS Post 33, Main Street, Jay.

Remembrance gifts may be given to the Wilton Fish and Game, c/o President Charles Tappan, P.O. Box 339 Wilton, ME 04294.

I wish I could have been there before you left Us Dale. You have been a great Husband to my Mother and a Dad to us. You always treated us like family and I will Miss our chats even though there was not enough of them. Love and miss ya!!
