She was born in Waterville, Oct. 19, 1924 the daughter of Joseph P. Dusty and Lucy (Dyer) Dusty. She was the 23rd child of Joseph and Lucy.
Lillian lived most of her life in Waterville on Seavey St. She never finished high school. She worked at the cotton mills -- Lockwood in Waterville and Bates in Augusta.
She married Roland J. Boudreau on July 3, 1943 at Sacred Heart Church in Waterville. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1957. Also preceding her in death were her sisters and brothers, Marie M. Pooler of Benton, Harvey J. Dostie of Waterville, Hazel M. Bourque of Winslow, Lucille M. Gagnon and Wilfred J. Dostie both of Waterville. Her other siblings died at birth or shortly after: Fred, 1899; Edmund, 1900; Beatrice, 1901; Ralph, 1904; Roland, 1905; John, 1907; Beulah, 1908; Earle, 1910; stillborn, 1910; Louis, 1912; Frank, 1912; infant, 1913; Maude, 1914; Dorothea, 1917; Frank Dyer, 1919; William, 1922; and Arthur, 1922.
A young Lillian in 1941 took a trip to St. Paul, Minn., with her father to visit his sister Mary and brother George. This was her first trip away from Maine with all the excitement of traveling and a train ride across the country. Lillian's greatest pleasure was time spent with her family. She enjoyed spending time at camp with the family and relatives. Family gathering during the holidays were full of good food and serious pinochle card games. Lillian's special dish was spaghetti and dynamite sauce. Also she liked making English muffin pizza for the family. Lillian worked hard to support her two sons while being a single mother. She was blessed to have a the support of her loving family. For entertainment Lillian loved to dance (Jitterbug) the night away. She enjoyed the simple things of life, always providing a good nature and happiness to all.
Surviving are her sons, Terrence Boudreau of Antelope, Calif., and Jeffrey A. Boudreau and wife Penny of Benton; two grandsons, Troy J. Boudreau of Antelope, Calif., and Terry Junior Boudreau and wife Brigitte of Citrus Heights; two great-grandchildren, Zachery and Sabryana Boudreau; also special nieces, nephews and cousins throughough Maine, who were very close to her.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Woodlands for the many years of care that she received while living there. They would also like to thank the staff at Oak Grove nursing home for the tender care that she received in her final days.
Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 25 at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26 at Sacred Heart Church, 70 Pleasant St., Waterville. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 78 Grove St., Waterville.
