Marge lived in Vero Beach, Fla., for more than 30 years before coming to stay with her daughter in Oakland. She was enrolled in HealthReach Hospice and cared for at home by her daughter, Jill, and granddaughter Brianna.
Thanks to the Hospice team of Kathie, Erika, Julianne, Tammy, Gwen and Lee for their good care and support. A special thank-you to Connie, Marge's volunteer, and loving neighbor Diane, who made Marge feel special and appreciated. Also, thanks to Dr. Nancy Zurbach for being attentive and supportive during Marge's journey.
She had many interests and hobbies, which included watching college football, 20 years of volunteer service to the Vero Beach Hospice Thrift shop, golfing, knitting and attending knitting classes at The YardGoods Center in Waterville.
Marge is survived by her son, Chris Ziegler, of New Jersey; a daughter, Jill Bixby, of Oakland; four grandchildren, Brianna Beecher of Massachusetts, Stowe Beecher of Washington, Jack Ziegler of New Jersey and Evan Ziegler of New Jersey. Marge was predeceased by her husband, Gottfried Ziegler; and a daughter, Debra Ziegler.
In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations in Marge's memory to HealthReach Hospice & Volunteers of Kennebec Valley, P.O. Box 828, Waterville, ME 04903-0828.
A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan & Scott's Cremation & Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan, ME 04976.
