Penny Thornton Obituary

LEWISTON -- Penny Lynn Thornton, 47, of East Livermore died Monday, May 30, 2011, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 7, 1964, in Lincoln, the daughter of Milan Thornton and Nadine (Young) Thornton Bazzie. She was a 1982 graduate of Stearns High School, attended Job Corp, Husson University and Women Unlimited and became a truck driver in 1994. She was also employed part-time at Pike's Corner Oasis. She was passionate about music and enjoyed family get-togethers.

She is survived by her partner, Tammi "Red" Harlow, and "their" children Joshua, Felicia and Monica Harlow and Jaimie, Keith and Travis Tibbetts, and their significant others; her parents, Nadine and Russell Bazzie of North Carolina, and Milan and Shirley Thornton of Millinocket; her siblings, Mary Booker of North Carolina, Bonnie Saucier and husband Ralph of Millinocket, Milan Thornton Jr. and wife Debbie of North Carolina, and Carla Thornton and fiancŽ Rocky Harlow of Livermore Falls; her in-laws, Rance and Sue Ranger, Brian Ranger, Sheree and Brian Rickman, Judy and Rick Dunn and Barbara and Harry Morgan; nieces Christian Charette and Crissy Marson; nephew Daniel Saucier; great-nieces and nephews Dakotah, Chloe, Tyler and Cambridge; and eight precious grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as their "Nana P." She is also survived by two very special "sistahs," Sandy Rogers and Cathy Caron, of Waterville. She was predeceased by her grandparents; and two very special nephews, Joshua Hartley and Justin Hartley. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed.

Family and friends are invited to call at Wiles Remembrance Center, 308 Franklin Road (Route 133), Jay, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Livermore Falls. Following services, a reception will be held at the Lane Dube AMVETS Post 33, Route 4, Main Street, Jay. All are welcome. Tributes and condolences may be shared with her family at www.wilesrc.com. So sorry to hear of Pennys passing. Thoughts and Prayers go out to the Family and also to Tammy and her children. Penny was so lucky to have you and the children in her life. She always had such a kind heart for all. I will always remember the good times in the field. Always laughing and having a great time. No more suffering, no more pain. May she rest in peace.
