I remember the first time Bill brought Russ home from the dealership they both worked at. It was kind of a nasty night and Bill wanted me to feed them dinner since they had worked til closing. Russ´s smile won me over immediately and not too long after I met Dawn when we had a house warming at out new house. I fell in love with Zdawn right off and right away planned an evening out to dinner. Not to long after we moved from Maine and never saw them again even though we knew they were on the other coast from us.

He was always happy when he was with us. Especially once he found the love of his life in a pretty girl from England. We missed him once he moved back to Florida from Maine.

Russ was my best friend. I knew him well as he did me. There's a part of my life that now seems empty, but I know that's not true. For the memories I have I will never forget. Im sad that Russ lost his fight with cancer, but im happy he is no longer suffering.

I am so sorry for not being there today. Russ was a great friend and I have many fond memories. especially him pulling me on stage to sing some STP with him. He truly could light up a room and touched all he met. Ihave thought often of you over the last 10 years where are you, what are you doing? I only wish I had reached out,I could have had some more fun. God bless you brother I'll miss you.

I knew Russell when I was a teenager in the 80's in Belgrade Lakes. I remember thinking he looked like Steve Perry from Journey! He was fun and funny and I'm so very sad to hear of his death. I hope his family and sons do well and heal with wonderful memories of a great guy.

I remember the parties at my house..Russell was always the last one to leave! In fact, one New Year's Eve, his parents forgot he was there and he ended up staying until his parents came and picked him up the next day! He was always smiling and had a great sense of humor. My sympathies go out to his family. He is now pain-free and with God. Tara LoCastro
