Frances Perry Obituary

Frances F. Perry, 85
BATH -- Frances F. Perry, 85, of Aspen Lane died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at her residence.
She was born in Bath on March 16, 1926, the daughter of Andrew Conroy and Margaret Mary (Cummings) Flaherty.
Frances graduated from Morse High School in the class of 1944 and from Emerson College in 1949. She began her teaching career in Hawaii and for many years was a well-respected member of the English Department at Morse High School in Bath.
In 1952 she married Harold D. 'Major' Perry, who predeceased her in 1987. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Andrew C. Flaherty, John P. Flaherty and Mark B. Flaherty. Frances is survived by three daughters, Anne Perry Page of Bath, Jane Perry Gervais of Ledyard, Conn. and Dr. Mary Ellen Perry of Washington Grove, Md. and by one son, Andrew Conroy Perry of Bath. She will be missed by their families, including Gregory M. Page, Normand J. Gervais, George R. Kelley and Kimberly M. Perry; and her four grandchildren, Danielle Frances Gervais, Andrew Perry Gervais, Joseph Normand Gervais and Nathaniel Conroy Perry. She is also survived by her brothers, Paul R. Flaherty of Bath and Thomas P. Flaherty of Arlington, Mass.; and by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High Street, Bath. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary's Church, 144 Lincoln Street, Bath. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery on High Street in Bath. Then, family and friends will gather at the Maine Maritime Museum, 243 Washington Street, Bath. Condolences may be made online at
