Our most sincere condolences on Mr. Hurley's passing. We were fortunate to have him join us for a few meetings. He struck us all as a wonderful person, very caring and was no doubt a leader in the law. Our sympathizes go out to his family and in particular his daughter Margaret (a member of the CSTC Executive Board), who followed him in his footsteps not only as an outstanding attorney and mentor to many, but also as a leader in the AG's office.

My most sincere sympathizes. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Hurley a few times and we reminisced about Hull as he was familiar with the local church. He struck me as a wonderful person, very caring and was no doubt a leader in the law. May his memory be a blessing to his family and friends.

My sincere sympathies to the entire remaining Hurley clan. Joe was like a second father to me for quite a while, and a beloved grandfather to Sarah. I regret I won´t be able to attend the services as I am out of the country on vacation. Peace and happy memories to all.

Lisa, my condolences to you and the famly. I do remember your Dad well through his town involvement: he on the Zoning Board and I on the Library Board. We talked about you as our being Yellow Pages Sales Representatives and active CWA members. Will keep Joe in my prayers. Paul Carney

To Mr. Hurley's children -
In the early seventies while working at Nutter, McClennen & Fish, I had the privilege of working for your father as his secretary. He was a wonderful human being. He was very kind to me and to all of those who knew him during those years. Though I never met any of you, I felt as though I did because he always spoke so lovingly about your mother and all of you.

Mr. Hurley was a great and life long friend to my Dad, Dan Curran Jr. They were "Pals" as children. My Dad visitied the Hurleys summer home in Gloucster and Mr. Hurley went to Scituate with Dad. Dad was so proud of Mr. Hurleys accomplishments in the legal profession. All through our childhood we heard wonderful stories and understood Dad's true feeling for his friend.I know that Dad will be happy to greet Mr. Hurley in heaven.

I will always remember Uncle Joe as the most brilliant man I ever knew, a man who could keep me enthralled for hours with his knowledge of history and of our family. He was also a very kind man, and I will miss him.
