Maysel Huston Obituary

Maysel Huston, 82
SACO -- Maysel Huston, 82, of Saco, passed away on April 15, 2011, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Portland on June 19, 1928, the child of the late Ernest and Etta (Huntington) Morris. She graduated from Thornton Academy in 1946.
On May 28, 1949, she married the love of her life- Everett F. Huston.
Maysel was a retired secretary and worked for Thornton Academy, the Pepperell Mills, for Optometrist Roland Fogg for 10 years, and many other local businesses.
She was a member of the Shrine Widow's Club, Francena Club and local bowling leagues. She was active in supporting the York County Shrine, Renegades, and the Saco Food Pantry.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, and related crafts, bowling, attending parades with the Renegades Ladies, traveling and spending time at camp in Aziscoos Lake. While she raised her daughters, she was active in Extension and Girl Scouts.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Everett Huston in 2000; and her brother ,Bryce Morris. Maysel is survived by daughters, Susan Littlefield and her husband Steve of Saco, Janice Heacock and her husband Harry of Newfield, and Barb Loescher and her husband Paul of Clinton, Conn.; grandchildren, Jeff Heacock and his wife Shannon, Dan Littlefield and his wife Angel, Julie Heacock Snell and her husband Nick, Ryan Littlefield and his wife Sarah, Scott Loescher, and Gale Loescher; great-grandchildren, Jake, Riley, Austin, Tyler, Parker and Nevaeh; and brothers, Dana Morris and his wife Elizabeth of The Villages, Fla., and Nate Morris and his wife Irene of Oxford.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, April 19, from 12 to 2 p.m., at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, located on the corners of Rts 202 and 4A (13 Portland Rd.) in Buxton (Bar Mills). Private burial will be at Milliken Cemetery in Saco. www.dcpate.com.

I met Maysel many years ago as a
shrine Lady. I always enjoyed sitting with her at parades and picnic's, her sense of humor was wonderful and she will be greatly missed, my husband Bruce and I entend our deepest sympathy to her family.
