Randy P. Shaw Sr., 46
PORTLAND -- Randy P. Shaw Sr., 46, passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2011, at his home.
Randy was born on July 13, 1964, in Portland. He was the youngest of four children of Virginia I. and George C. Shaw of Portland. He was a graduate of Portland High School.
Randy most recently worked as a service writer for Hewitt's Auto Service of Yarmouth. He loved the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He also avidly collected Coca-Cola memorabilia for many years.
He was a big reader, he enjoyed reading any books by Stephen King and historical novels. He enjoyed westerns and action movies and he loved spending time with his family. Family meant everything to him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Shaw, of 28 years. He also leaves behind three children, Katherine, Kayla and Randy Shaw Jr.; two grandchildren, Landon and Darlene Shaw; and his loving nephews, Patrick McDonough and Thomas McDonough. He will also be missed by his many family members and friends. He was predeceased by his sisters, Darlene Small and Candice McDonough, and his brother, George C. Shaw Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to a wake on Monday, May 16, 2011, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Hobbs Funeral Home in South Portland. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, at 10 a.m., at Hobbs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Brooklawn Memorial Park in Portland.

So sorry for your loss. Randy was a good friend when we were growing up. He was a couple years older, but would alway invite me in to a game of wiffle or to play "war" with the other kids in the neighborhood. I lived at 32 State, and he lived directly behind on Tyng. A good guy that I lost touch with through the years, but will alway remember him as a gentle giant. RIP
