Norris, 87
NEWMARKET, N.H. formerly of LIVERMORE FALLS -- Raymond Wayne Norris, 87, of Newmarket, N.H., died on April 3, 2011, in Zephyrhills, Fla.
He was born on Feb. 17, 1924, in Livermore Falls.
Mr. Norris served honorably in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII in the Pacific, earning the Phillipine Liberation Ribbon with two bronze stars. He was a 55 year member of Evening Star Lodge #147, AF&AM in Buckfield; the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of New Hampshire; Bektash Shrine; and American Legion Post 67, Newmarket, N.H. He made his career managing trucking companies throughout New England.
Mr. Norris is survived by his wife of more than 64 years, Lois Bisby Norris; three sons, Barry and his wife Junia of Maine, Randy and his wife Gerry of Pennsylvania, Gregory and his wife Brenda of North Carolina; three sisters, Althea McCutheon of Paris, Thelma Pearson of Auburn, Leona Estes of Norway; six grandchildren, Wayne and his wife of New Hampshire, Christopher and his wife Tangi of Texas, Erin and her husband Jeff of Rhode Island, Matt and his wife Carol of New Hampshire, Kevin and his wife Julie of North Carolina, Kristen and her husband Jim of New York; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Ross.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a graveside service at 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, June 11, 2011, at the Buckfield-Damon Cemetery in Buckfield. A reception will follow at the Masonic Hall in Buckfield.
