Thomas A. Foley, 83
BUXTON -- Thomas A. Foley, age 83, of Chicopee Rd., passed away on April 14, 2011 at the Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Elizabeth, N.J., on Nov. 26, 1927, a son of Thomas and Mary (Fitzgerald) Foley and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High in Elizabeth, N.J.
During the Korean War, Tom proudly served his country overseas in the United State Marine Corps.
Tom was a machinist at Cozzoli Machine in Plainfield, N.J. and worked in maintenance for MPBN, Channel 10 in Lewiston.
He enjoyed wildlife carving, photography, fly fishing, singing, writing poetry and speaking on local TV. He was a charter member of the Maine Wildlife Woodcarving Association.
He is predeceased by his siblings, Geraldine Foley Connors and Raymond Bertram Foley. Tom leaves behind his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Vesey) Foley; children, Thomas P. Foley and his wife Cynthia of Colorado Springs, Colo., Michael P. Foley and his wife Kathleen of Oxford, N.J. and Mary O'Clair and her husband Victor of New Gloucester; grandchildren, Jason, Thomas Jr., Shaun, Cari Geringer, Shannon Loehr, and Paige; great-grandchildren, Caiden Foley, Madisynn Foley, Alexis Foley, Kaileigh Loehr, Gage Loehr & Caleb Ciano; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Thomas' life will be held on Wednesday, April 20, at 2 p.m., at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, located on the corners of Rts. 202 and 4A (13 Portland Rd) in Buxton (Bar Mills). Burial will follow at South Buxton Cemetery with USMC Honors. www.dcpate.com

Dear Betty - Burt and I were truly saddened to hear of Tom's passing. He is at peace with the Lord.
