Jean Moore Kirk

Jean Moore Kirk, of Beaumont at Bryn Mawr, died on Thursday March 8th of a ruptured brain aneurysm occurring 2 days before. She was born Jean Louise Moore on December 20, 1922 in Indianapolis. She graduated from Shortridge High in 1941 and from Wheaton College in Norton Massachusetts in 1945. She then began working in New York in the travel agent, including for Sabina Airlines, living in Brooklyn and Manhattan. She married George Lloyd Kirk June 14, 1958 and moved to Rosemont and then to Haverford. She obtained a certificate from the New York School of Design, and had an Interior Decorating Business on the Main Line. She was a golfer and active bridge player, and a member of the Merion Cricket Club, Gulph Mills Golf Club, the Seed and Weed Garden Club, the Acorn Club, and the Bald Peak Colony Club in Melvin Village New Hampshire. She was predeceased by her husband in 1998, and is survived by her sister Natalie Moore Montgomery, her son, Malcolm Moore Kirk, and two grandsons: Marshall Steven Kirk, and Andrew Evan Lloyd Kirk. Her Funeral was held on Monday the 12th of March in Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. Contributions in her memory may be made to the G.
