Alyce McMahon

Alyce Ferrell McMahon a long time resident of Rosemont and Haverford, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012 in Sherman Oaks, CA of natural causes. Born in Dade City, Florida, Alyce handled everything in life with grace and dignity and had a sense of style and elegance that was all her own. She was devoted to her family and adored her six grandchildren. She was married for 27 years to TV personality Ed McMahon with whom she had four children, Claudia , Linda, Michael, who died of cancer in 1995, and Jeffrey. Alyce volunteered for many years at Bryn Mawr Hospital and loved her role tending to the families of patients who needed special attention. Besides her children, Alyce is also survived by her daughter-in-law Martha and six grandchildren, Alex, Sarah, Matt, Jiao Jiao, Maggie and Sara. A private ceremony will be held for family members to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, family members are requesting donations be made to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in memory of her son Michael.
