Ann Winsor Obituary

Ann Whittier Winsor (ne Wendell), 90, of Harlow St, Arlington, MA, formerly of Paoli, PA and Jaffrey, NH, died on October 9, 2014. She was born July 4, 1924 in Wayne, PA, daughter of Douglas C Wendell and Margaret Yates (Smith) Wendell. Ann graduated from Radnor High School in 1942, and attended the University of Delaware and Drexel University. She was the wife of the late Paul Winsor III, whom she married on September 9, 1950. Ann was active over the years in the Greater Federation of Women's Clubs in New Hampshire. She was also an active member of the Monadnock Quilt Guild since 1999, and a member of Covenant Church in Arlington, MA since 2009. She is survived by four children: Sarah Smith of Frazer, PA; Paul Winsor IV of Somerset, MA; Elizabeth Schiller of Plano, TX; and Susan Griffith of Arlington, MA. She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to: Lexington Symphony, PO Box 194, Lexington, MA 02421, www.lexingtonsymphony.org; American Lighthouse Foundation, PO Box 565, Rockland, ME 04841, www.lighthousefoundation.org; or Loon Preservation Committee, 183 Lees Mill Rd, Moultonborough, NH 03254, www.loon.org.
