Babette Scadding Stuart 72, of Coatesville died Monday, August 20, 2012 at Life Care of Chester County. She was the wife of Nixon Stuart with whom she shared 47 years of marriage. Babette was the daughter of George and Marguerite Lowe Scadding. Born in Philadelphia, raised in Wynnwood, Babette lived for 38 years in West Chester and moved to Coatesville in 2003. She was employed as a benefits specialist by the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District. Babette was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship, Coatesville. Surviving her in addition to her husband, Nixon, is a daughter, Nicole Stuart of West Chester; two sons, Eric Stuart, husband of Michelle of Leola and Shaun Stuart, husband of Oahn Pham of Spring City; a sister, Marguerite Norris, wife of Alfred of Malvern; a brother, Thomas G. Scadding, husband of Ruth of West Chester; and 10 grandchildren. A memorial service was held Sunday, August 26 at Cornerstone Fellowship, 101 Kylies Road, Coatesville.
