Barbara C. Riechers

Barbara C. Riechers, of Rosemont Presbyterian Village died on November 30th, 2012 at age 89. She was the daughter of the late Sheldon and Ruth Childers and graduate of Colorado Women's College. Barbara was a most supportive member of the Presbyterian Church USA which was so dear to her heart. Prior to her membership in the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church in 2006, she was an active member in the First Presbyterian Church of Morrisville where, during her 45 year membership. she served as an Elder, Chair of the Pulpit Nominating Committee, and was an ever present leader in numerous areas of ministry and mission. Her participation within the Presbytery of Philadelphia included Moderator of the Presbytery, Commissioner to the national General Assembly, long time member of the Board of Directors of Inspired Life (formerly Presbytery Homes and Services). as well as providing leadership in various other Presbytery committees as well as special women's ministries of Presbyterial and Synodical She was the wife of the late Benjamin F. Riechers Jr., and is survived by her daughter, Penny Susko(Peter); and grandsons, Matthew and Gregory. Her Memorial Service is being planned for a later date, of which announcement will be made.
