Edward Joseph McBride

Edward Joseph McBride, "Eddie", of Bryn Mawr, PA., passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 4, 2013 at Bryn Mawr Terrace after a long battle with cancer. He was 73. Son of the late Denis and Brigid McClafferty McBride, he was born November 28, 1939 in Dooey, Downings, Co. Donegal, Ireland. Eddie came to the United States in 1959 and was employed by the maintenance department at Rosemont College. He retired in 2001 after 42 years holding the position of Maintenance Supervisor. He is survived by his brother James; niece Vanessa; nephew Donnacha and dear friend Peggy Gallagher all of Ireland. He is also survived by his devoted and loving friends Mary & Dan McAnally, Patty & Mike Boken, Cara & Steve Udicious, Nikki & Steve Maloney and Dave & Betty Fish as well as numerous other friends. A Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday September 11th at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church in Bryn Mawr. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010.
