HELEN VIRGINIA BOLGER

HELEN VIRGINIA BOLGER, 97, of Rosemont, PA died on September 23, 2012. She was born in Norristown, PA on March 17, 1915, the daughter of the late Kathryn Wafer and Francis Bolger. Helen was preceded in death by her brother Joseph and nephew Mark. Helen leaves her long time close friends Susan Nye, Ruth Parker, and Carol Pyle as well as sister in law Marge and nephews Frank and Daniel. Helen was employed as a cashier at the former Warner Theatre, and later as a secretary handling foreign currency exchanges for the former TRW, both in Philadelphia. She was a long time resident of Rosemont Presbyterian Village and had many friends there. She was known for her "Irish" good humor and friendliness as well as her beautiful smile. She always had a friendly greeting for everyone she met even though macular degeneration took her sight. Helen often spoke of how blessed she was for the wonderful care she received from the staff at Rosemont Presbyterian Village, Broomall Presbyterian Nursing Facility, and Bryn Mawr Hospital. "Thank you" to all who helped her, especially during this past year. Helen was a member of St. Thomas of Villanova Church. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held for her at the Rosemont Chapel on Thurs. October 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment is private.
