Helen Anne White

Helen Anne Hauslein White (nee Littleton), 93, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on February 25, 2013 at Freedom Village. Born in 1919 in Philadelphia, PA, Helen Anne was the daughter of Frances Woodward Chambers and William Richard Littleton, both deceased. She was predeceased by her first husband Jackson A. Hauslein in 1969 and by her second husband James Logan White in 1995. Helen Anne was the beloved mother of Jackson A. Hauslein, Jr. (Suzanne) of Great Falls, VA and Helen Elizabeth Martinson (the late Mark W.); loving grandmother of Jennifer Smith, Emily Quay, Jackie Kruchten, Heidi Madagan, Mark Martinson, Jr., Hanna McKee and eight great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Elizabeth Littleton Persons and William G. Littleton. Helen Anne attended Moorestown Friends School in Moorestown, NJ, graduated in 1937 from The Holman School in Ardmore, PA. She was a 1941 graduate of Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, VA, graduating Cum Laude as an Art History major. From 1968-1983, Helen Anne worked for the Radnor School District, teaching Kindergarten at Rowland Elementary School and first grade at Ithan Elementary School. She enjoyed reading, playing Bridge, water color painting and flower arranging. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Wayne, serving as an Altar Guild member and Church School Teacher. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Mayflower Society and the Saturday Club in Wayne, PA. Relatives and friends attended her Interment 11:00 AM Monday, March 4, 2013 at Westminster Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, PA and her Memorial Service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at The Freedom Village Residence Auditorium, 15 Freedom Blvd., Coatesville, PA 19320, followed by a reception.
