Hope Hayes

Hope Barrick Hayes of Wayne, PA formerly of Haverford died peacefully on June 15, 2013. Beloved wife of the late James O. Hayes, Jr. Mother of Karen, David (Katrine) and the late James O. III. Adored grandmother of Christina, Rebecca and Victoria. Survived by siblings Elizabeth Walker, George (Nancy) Barrick, Monroe Barrick, Warren (Carol) Barrick, Janis Rose, numerous other family, friends and caregivers. Hope was born and raised in the Garrett Hill section of Radnor Township on July 23, 1924, the fifth of ten children of Edward H. and Vaunita Barrick. Hope was a 1942 graduate of Radnor High School. She worked for 25 years at Chilton Company in Radnor as a marketing research supervisor and credit representative. She was a dedicated lifelong member of Bethel AME Church, 50 N. Merion Avenue, Bryn Mawr where a viewing will be held on Friday, June 21st from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with Services immediately following. Interment at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, PA.
