J. Gregory Fitzgerald

J. Gregory Fitzgerald 49, of Powell, Ohio, formerly of Radnor, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 11, 2014. He was born to Barbara Fitzgerald and the late Robert Fitzgerald. He graduated from Radnor High School (PA) in 1983 and from The Pennsylvania State University in 1987 where he was a varsity wrestler. He served as an agent in the US Secret Service as a member of the Presidential Protection Detail and Counter Assault Teams. He was also a member of the Avalon (NJ) Police Force and Avalon Beach Patrol and was currently working as the director of security at a local energy company. He was instrumental in the development and growth of local youth lacrosse organizations in Central Ohio, in addition to coaching youth football, girls softball, and youth wrestling. Greg is survived by his wife Colleen Warren Fitzgerald, his daughter Kelley, his sons Thomas and Timmy, his brothers Bob(Sue) Fitzgerald of Downingtown, PA and Timothy(Erin) Fitzgerald of Danville, PA, and his sisters Shawn(Conrad) Fitzgerald Ridgway of Audubon, PA and Megan(Mike) Fitzgerald Romano of Havertown, PA. A visitation will be held at GRACE BRETHREN CHURCH, 7600 Liberty Road, Powell, OH 43065 on TUESDAY April 15, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 PM, where the Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on WEDNESDAY April 16, 2014.
