Janice Jackson Brown age 71, of West Grove, PA, passed away on September 14, 2012. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Brown with whom she shared thirty-four cherished years until his passing in 2010. Born in 1941 in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Mildred Boyle Jackson. In 1954, Jan's family moved to Lewisburg, PA. She graduated from Lewisburg High School in 1959 where she was president of the National Honor Society. Mrs. Brown received a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Bucknell University, class of 1963. She was a computer analyst for the Social Security Administration in Baltimore, MD and for Bell Telephone in Philadelphia, PA. Jan married Robert Brown in 1976 and resided in Narberth, PA for thirty-two years. Jan and Bob founded Robert Brown Associates in 1984, which they operated until their retirement in 1990. Jan enjoyed singing, and was a member of the Sweet Adelines International. She enjoyed needlepoint, and was renowned among her family and friends for her cooking. She loved her summer home on Nantucket Island, MA, where she and her husband spent many relaxing summers in her retirement years. Survivors include two step sons, Steven D. Brown and his wife Melissa of Landenberg, PA and Craig Brown of Phoenixville, PA; one step daughter, Esther L. Brown and her husband Josh Nims of Boulder, CO; two brothers, David Jackson of Sarasota, FL and Bruce Jackson and his partner Carol Vargas of Lewisburg, PA; four beloved grandchildren, Madison and Ashley Brown and Luke and Tessa Nims; one aunt, Joan Boyle of Greenville, RI; and several cousins including Joan Wilcox, of Downingtown, PA.
