Joan Bixby Keller

Joan Bixby Keller ("Joanie"), died on October 8, 2012 after a lengthy illness. She lived in Haverford, PA and Bolton Landing, NY. Joanie is survived by Dr. Wayne William Keller, her husband of 46 years, her children Mimi Drake (Tom), Blair (Alicia Lavit), Grace (Stephen Sperry) and Andrew (Alison), her grandchildren Will, Tyler and George Drake, Estelle Keller and the late Libby Drake, and her beloved dog Maggie. A resident of Haverford, Joanie was passionate about volunteering, the community, her family and friends, and her grandchildren. She spent every summer of her life at Lake George, NY, where her great-grandfather built a family home that continues to be treasured by relatives from several generations. She took great joy in seeing her children and grandchildren enjoying that special spot. Joanie was a member of The Garden Workers and The Merion Cricket Club. She was a past Co-Chair of The Shipley Shops and was involved as a volunteer with The American Cancer Society and in the early stages of The Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania Antiques Show. She was a long-time volunteer at the schools that her children attended. A celebration of Joanie's life will be held on October 15h at 10:30 at St. David's Episcopal Church, 763 South Valley Forge Road, Wayne, PA.
