Marta Lee Bussard Leith

Marta Lee Bussard Leith, of Haverford, PA died suddenly on Sunday February 24th. She was 73 years of age. Lee Leith was born in Haddonfield, NJ and graduated from Abington High School. She attended Ursinus College. Her parents were John M. Bussard and Louise Radford Bussard of Haddonfield, NJ. For many years Lee Leith worked for the Bockus Institute at Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Lee was an administrator in the areas of animal studies and clinical trials at Graduate. She retired to an active career in charitable organizations. Some of her favorite charities were the St. Francis division of the SPCA and the Philadelphia Revels. Lee was an avid tennis player and was a member of the Merion Cricket Club. She played on the Women's interclub team and helped organize several Women's Middle States grass championships. Lee is survived by her husband of 28 years, David Leith, Sr., and by her brother and sister in law Drs. John and Elizabeth Bussard of Ringoes, NJ. Lee is survived by three step children, David, Jr., Kenneth and Anne Leith; and by her niece Dr. Anne B. Supina and her nephew Major John M. Bussard. Lee was the beloved grandmother BumBum to 5 grandchildren. The family will have a memorial service on Friday March 8th at the home.
