Mr. Joe
I know some time has passed and it isn't any easier. I will always remember the kind and sweet Mrs. Schmidt. Even when she wasn't feeling well she was always the same. I hope that your memories will comfort you, and may God bless you and keep you in your time of need. She is missed, and will never be forgotten.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Maureen's passing. One of my favorite members of the Wyndcroft family, Maureen was always quick with a smile and a story. She always remembered to ask about all of the children, those who hadn't yet started Wyndcroft and those who had moved on. She often told me about her sons and I remember how excited she was when Katie was born. Her love of family was constantly evident. We are all fortunate to have known Maureen and she will be sorely missed I'm sure.

As a new family to Wyndcroft, Maureen was always so warm, caring, and loving. Her spirit touched many and all. She will be missed. We cannot thank her enough for the generosity towards the Padhiar Family and our three children, all of whom are graduates of the School. May God bless her children and family.

Always a smile and a kind word. Always a reality check when warranted. Mrs. Schmidt was one of those few who just had the ability to be what was needed at the moment, with grace and tact. May she rest in peace knowing what a profound impact she had on those of us privileged to know her.

I had the privilege of knowing Maureen at the Temple Lung Transplant program. I cannot think of a nicer, more thoughtful person and she was such a delight. She so dearly loved her family, and the pictures of them (with the grandchildren prominently displayed) were always where she could see them. We would laugh about how grandparents keep their opinions on child-raising to themselves if they want to see the grandkids. I will miss her and remember her always

Maureen would always joke that my butt was hanging out of her fridge since I was a wee one. It was her way of letting me know she was there anytime I needed advice, a hug, or a story of how Matt and Brian were doing. She always seemed to have the right thing to say to me as a young teacher. May Maureen rest in piece and my she continue to watch over the Schmidt family from above.

Dear Schmidt Family,
Maureen was a wonderful person to be around. Enjoyed chatting with her while dropping my daughter off at school. She was the first person we meet at Wyndcroft and her smile and laugh will always be remembered. In our thoughts and prayers.

As one of the teachers at Wyndcroft, I worked with Maureen for many years. What a wonderful, bubbling, joyful and warm personality! She made all those who entered Wyndcroft comfortable. I'll miss those sparkling blue eyes and those informative talks about Ireland and her relatives. I'll always cherish her memory.
Love and prayers to the Schmidt family.

Dear Joe, Matt and Brian, I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of working closely with Maureen for eight years. She made every day at the office bright and cheery. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was kind to everyone. I could count on her for good advice and cooking tips. All the children loved her and so did I. I will miss her dearly.

Dear Joe, Matt, Brian and all grandchildren,
In my family, we all loved Maureen. Our wonderful family dinners that Maureen cooked for all of us and the fun talks, your family visit to Edinburg and introduction to the Adirondacks and White Water Rafting. Remember our New Year' Eve party and puzzle race? Always fun. I will always remember the good times Maureen and I had each weekend and the great talks we have had over the years. I was counting on her being in Cape Cod to live, as she expressed her interest and desire to do. So now she will, in spirit.
My ability to live in Houston, Texas to work with the astronauts at NASA Johnson Space Center was made possible with support from both Maureen and Joe on the PA side. Maureen's oldest son Matthew was my dog walker for years. Matt was responsible because Maureen and Joe were guiding him. In the last few years Matt and Brian's children, Maureen's grandchildren, became the light of her life.
Maureen was a wonderful person, mother, wife, teacher, nurse and friend who did much for many.
I cried for an hour after Joe's phone call.
All she needed was a new set of lungs.
We all need to be organ donors. Maureen is still teaching us!
My prayers for Maureen's soul.

Please know that you are in our thoughts & prayers at this very difficult time. Schmidt Family:
It's hard to put into words how much I will miss my dear friend. I could always count on Maureen no matter if I needed a shoulder to cry on or if I needed a good laugh. I will miss her sense of humor and our laughs together. I would like very much to have her shoulder right now. May God bless you at this very difficult time.

Dear Joe and family, I doubt I would have had the good fortune to be the Upper School French teacher at Wyndcroft without Maureen. She was so kind and reassuring to my son when he applied, as she was to all students. He joined the Wyndcroft community and I followed. Maureen touched so many people and her smile will never be forgotten. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
