Nancy Morlok Obituary

Nancy Fessler Morlok passed away at Dunwoody Village, Newtown Square, on July 11, 2013. She was 89. She was born on June 30, 1924, and grew up in East Oak Lane, Philadelphia. She went to Girls High, where she was Class President for all four of her years there. After graduating in 1942, she attended Ursinus College, where she met many life-long friends. She married William B. Morlok on November 23, 1946, and moved with him to State College while he attended Penn State. While there, she worked in the Glass Science Laboratory, College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. Following Penn State, she and William lived in Philadelphia, Newtown PA, Plymouth Meeting, Radnor, Devon, and Newtown Square. She was an avid tennis player, most recently at Merion Cricket Club. She loved gardening, bridge, and children, and served as Chairman of the Women's Committee of Children's Aid for many years. She loved her three children, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; family was her life's work. Services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, 625 Montgomery Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA. All are welcome. Nancy Fessler Morlok was a wonderful godmother and cousin. So many memories to treasure. She left a legacy of love,friendship, and strength.
