Russell Fox Hodges Obituary
Russell Fox Hodges age 85, died December 2, 2012 at his residence at Beaumont, in Bryn Mawr, PA. He had formally lived in Rosemont , PA for 55 years, and was a winter resident of Naples, Florida. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 28, 1927, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Gladys F. Hodges. Mr. Hodges was educated at The St. Mark's School in South Borough, Massachusetts and graduated from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1949. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and the Korean War. In his professional career, he was a stockbroker at Cresap, Inc. and prior to Cresap, Inc., Janney Montgomery Scott. He was a past President of the Engineer's Club of Philadelphia. He is survived by his daughters, Joanne H. Conrad (William L.), Haverford; Leslie F. Hodges, New York City; and Elizabeth W. Hodges, Upper Darby. He was predeceased by two daughters: Susan F. Hodges and Lisa F. Hodges. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Andrew F. Conrad, C. Quincy Conrad, Morgan C. Conrad, Emily F. Blau, Anne H. Blau, Emma F. Hodges and Alexander D. Hodges. He was predeceased by a brother Charles E. Hodges, III. A Memorial Service was held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Proclamation Church, Bryn Mawr, PA. The burial was private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Hodges' memory to Fox Chase Cancer Center, IA, Department, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111 or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 633 3rd Avenue, Floor 28 New York, NY Attn: Development.
