I met Tom in the mid-1970's when he operated the Pizza Depot in Doylestown, PA. No matter how noisy we CB East teens were, he made us feel that we were welcome and appreciated customers. I met him again 10 years later when he and Betsy ran the Snack Shack at Pilgrim Pines Conference Center in Swanzy, NH. Once again, his welcome was warm and immediate. Whenever I saw him over the years in and around Doylestown, he was gracious, kind, interested in my family. He even hired my oldest daughter a few years back to run the bread booth at the Grange Fair, and treated her just as kindly and generously. We loved to talk with him and Betsie every year while waiting by the Landmark Building for the Doylestown Memorial Day Parade to start, and he rarely missed sending us a Christmas card. His faith and devotion to his church stood out to all who met him. When I shared the news about his "graduation to glory" with my husband, he said, "We'll see him again." Truly one of my favorite people!
