Our sympathies to Caroline and the family...Bill was one of the quiet strong men of our community and will be greatly missed! He always had kind words and a smile to everyone..we loved bumping into Bill and Caroline around Malvern and picking up our conversations where we had left off the last time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was in Mr. Melcher's science classes for 2.5 years while at Phelps. I am not a student of science but Mr. Melcher was able to break it down in a way that made it interesting and interactive. He had a unique way of reaching every student. He was a great man and my most sincere sympathies go out to his family and friends. The Phelps community was lucky to have had such a person as Bill Melcher for as long as they did!
