Art was a dear friend when we were both intern teaching in St. Petersburg schools before graduation from FSU. I always thought I'd somehow find out how his life turned out, I'm so sorry it is as a result of his passing. Clearly, he had a rich and wonderful time on earth. My heart goes out to his family and other friends. We will all greatly miss his presence on this planet.

So saddened to hear that the secular world has lost such a talented and compassionate human being. I lost contact after 1972 when Art attended the baptism of my. daughter Chara Vlamis. Many prayers are sent your way during this time of sorrow.

I taught with Art at EGHS in Florida. I dearly loved him, as did many, both faculty and students. He had such a joy of life and was such a sincere and loving person. I am so sorry to learn that he had cancer and to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family. Has there been a memorial service? And if not, if there is to be one, has a date been chosen? I am in NC, but I know of some, including myself, who would try to come, if at all possible, just to pay our respects.
Yes, RIP, dear, gentle soul.

Sorry to hear about Art's passing, he was my Uncle. Although I haven't seen him in over 25 years, I had fond memories of him growing up. I stayed at his house for a few weeks and got a chance to go flying with him as a teenager. I remember many holidays spent with him and the rest of the family. His flying and his woodworking projects were always inspiring to me growing up. ~Jim
